How It Works

The LexResolve Resolution Pathway.

A clear, consistent process designed for self-represented parties, lawyers, and referral sources. Here is how matters move through LexResolve — from first contact to resolution.

  1. Step 1

    Request Intake

Every matter begins with a confidential intake. Self-represented parties, lawyers, and referral sources can submit a request online. The intake captures the nature of the dispute, the parties involved, and any preliminary context needed to begin assessment.

  2. Step 2

    Screening & Assessment

A LexResolve team member reviews each intake to determine suitability for mediation. We identify any safety, capacity, communication, or process concerns, and confirm whether mediation — and which pathway — is appropriate. Where safety considerations are present, SafePath protocols are applied.

  3. Step 3

    Mediator Matching

Parties are matched with a lawyer-mediator or ADR professional from the LexResolve network based on subject-matter expertise, availability, language, and the specific needs of the matter. Both parties are notified of the proposed mediator before sessions are scheduled.

  4. Step 4

    Mediation Sessions

Sessions are conducted virtually or in person, depending on what is appropriate for the parties and the matter. The mediator structures the process, facilitates productive discussion, and supports parties in working toward durable, informed resolutions.

  5. Step 5

    Resolution & Documentation

Agreements reached in mediation are summarized and may be documented or formalized as appropriate — including Memoranda of Understanding, draft consent materials, or referrals back to counsel for finalization. Parties leave with clarity on next steps.
