LexResolve follows a consistent process from inquiry through resolution. Fees vary by matter; a clear estimate is provided after intake and screening.

    Submit Intake

    Complete the confidential intake form. The intake is the start of every LexResolve matter.

  2. Step 2

    Screening & Assessment

    Each matter is reviewed to determine suitability for mediation and to identify any safety, communication, or process concerns.

  3. Step 3

    Mediator Matching

    Parties are matched with a mediator based on subject matter, availability, experience, and process needs.

  4. Step 4

    Mediation

    Sessions are conducted virtually or in person, depending on what is appropriate for the parties and the matter.

  5. Step 5

    Resolution

    Agreements reached may be documented and formalized as appropriate.

Why Mediation?

Mediation can help parties resolve disputes more efficiently, privately, and cost-effectively than litigation. Many matters can be resolved through focused discussions that allow parties to maintain greater control over outcomes while reducing conflict, delay, and legal expense.

Fees

Mediation Services & Fees

LexResolve offers flat-fee mediation so you know what to expect. No hourly billing surprises. Final fees depend on the complexity of the matter and the number of sessions required, and are confirmed after intake and screening. Fees are shared between the parties unless otherwise agreed. 5% GST applies.

Most matters begin with a confidential intake and screening. Following intake, parties receive a recommended process and written fee estimate before proceeding.

Family Mediation

Parenting Communication and Coordination
A focused session (up to 2 hours) to establish a practical parenting communication and coordination plan, how decisions are made, how information is shared, and how scheduling and handovers work

Mediation length and fees are confirmed after intake. A focused session may not fully resolve every matter; where more time is needed, additional time or a longer session can be arranged at the applicable rate.

LexResolve is committed to keeping lawyer-led mediation within reach.

Reduced rates are available for lower-income clients and for straightforward matters, determined confidentially at intake.

Clients earning under $60,000 with dependent children may qualify for Alberta's free government Family Mediation Program. We will help determine eligibility at intake.
